BHEEA Executive Committee Meeting – Committee Reconstitution and Ayudha Pooja Discussions

The BHEEA Executive Committee meeting was held on 18.09.2026 at the BHEEA Office.

One of the major agenda items of the meeting was the reconstitution and nomination of various committees and employee representative bodies.

The following committees and councils were taken up for nomination/reconstitution:

• Shop Council
• Plant Council
• DRF Committee
• Township Advisory Committee
• Medical Advisory Committee
• Internal Complaints Committee
• Grievance Committee
• Welfare Fund Committee
• Nomination for Protected Employee

The Shop Council and Plant Council nominations were discussed department-wise. A proposal to increase the representation by one additional member in both the Shop Council and Plant Council was also discussed. The proposed increase will be subject to management approval.

The meeting also discussed the Ayudha Pooja 2026 sweets distribution. BHEEA will finalize the type and quantity of sweets based on the available provision, eligibility categories and approved cost.

The distribution will cover eligible categories including regular employees, contract workers, apprenticeship trainees, FTA personnel and other applicable categories.

A discussion was also held regarding the possibility of providing an additional holiday for Ayudha Pooja, subject to compensatory working and the necessary approval.
